Dr. Qingyao Shi, Lic. OM & Acu

Medical Director

Dr. Qingyao Shi is a National Certified OM in the United States and a Pennsylvania-licensed acupuncturist.  Dr. Shi earned her Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Institute of Acupuncture, Academy of TCM, Beijing.  She is a medical doctor (MD) in Western medicine and trained at Bethune University Medical School in China.  She has 18 years of hospital experience.

Some of her career highlights include combining Eastern and Western medicine and introducing acupuncture and Chinese medicine to mainstream medicine in the United States.  Dr. Shi was the first person to develop the Oriental medicine treatment for Interstitial Cystitis in the US.  Her publication “Chinese Herbal Medicine for the Treatment of IC” has become one of the standard patient educational materials of the National ICA.

Dr. Shi is a former commissioner of the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) (2000-2004).

Jeanne M. Andrews
L.Ac, Dipl. Ac

Jeanne is a NCCAOM board certified, licensed acupuncturist in both PA and NJ.  She completed her B.A. at Binghamton University in Economics and completed her Master’s Degree in Acupuncture from the Won Institute of Graduate Studies in Glenside, PA.  She has also undertaken post-graduate training in sports acupuncture, orthopedic and ashi / trigger point acupuncture as well as continued learning with neuro-meridian therapies.

In addition, Jeanne recently completed a certificate program in Fertility, Pregnancy and Postpartum with Dr. Deb Davies, L.Ac of PUSH Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine to support her patients through the entire journey of pregnancy and the healing necessary after giving birth.  (Please see below for certificate of completion.)

As an acupuncturist, Jeanne has experience treating a wide array of health conditions, including but not limited to musculoskeletal injuries, emotional and mental health issues, insomnia, pain management, women’s health and fertility, and metabolic imbalances.  Jeanne is passionate about helping people in their journey to become pain-free, happy, and healthy on a body, mind, and spirit level.

In her free time, Jeanne enjoys golf, skiing, platform tennis, sailing, volunteering with the local Philadelphia refugee / resettlement community program, and just about anything that involves being outdoors with family, friends, and her dog.
